Winter Update 2021

Winter Update

This winter we have progressed the design and detail design of projects on a broad front. We have also been appointed to collaborate on a number of smaller new projects located in Conservation areas in the New Forest National Park. For those projects we have started a dialogue with the National Park Authority to agree how appropriate changes to these properties may be achieved.

The NPA has granted Planning Approval for an Arts and Crafts house that featured in our Summer and Autumn 2020 news updates. This has allowed us to progress to develop the detailed design of the works with the view to allow construction of the extensive changes required later this year.

They have also accepted the approach presented in a Pre-Application for works to another house in the National park and we are in the process of negotiating the treatment of a replacement outbuilding in the grounds of that attractive Heritage property located close to nearby Conservation Areas.

Following tender for the construction to add a new floor and refurbish a property in Lymington, the owner of the house, which has featured in previous news updates, has now embarked upon the construction stage of that project. We look forwards to seeing that take shape over coming months.

We have completed the detailed design of the boundary treatment for a house in Milford on Sea that has previously been featured and has already received Planning Consent. Following tender for the works it is expected that construction will commence in Spring 2021.

While the ongoing pandemic has affected Construction targets on some affected projects we are now approaching a time where we expect to see a number of projects at different stages on site.
